I accompanied humanGrace, a charitable organization, to Aalborg, Denmark (July 2008) in partnership with Caretakers International Environmental Youth Conference to launch "Threads of Equality," a dynamic program that respectfully deconstructs flags, separating the pieces by color; then quilting the pieces back together to create monochromatic banners. These quilts will tour the world in respective countries that have participated by donating flags and in the quilting process. They will also be viewed by visitors to the United Nations headquarters.
