Travel & Adventure
Arizona
The Southwest holds a special place in the hearts and minds of many people. Artists especially seem to draw upon the stimulus the desert environment provides. The lighting is special, the history of our nation is everywhere as a reminder of what this land is all about from a Native-American point of view. I find that I get a spiritual sense of calm every time I enter the state. There is no better place on earth than in the Catalina or Rincon Mountains for a beautiful sunset. These mountains are in the Tucson area and provide a wealth of possibilities for inspiring photos.
The entire state of Arizona is endowed with ample places to document on film the diverse setting that makes up this great state. Besides the Grand Canyon, Colorado River, Canyon De Chelly and other noteworthy places in the north, there are numerous mountains and desert terrain throughout the rest of the state to discover. There are even vineyards in the southeast that produce wine that rivals any California winery.
My interest in photography could be kept busy for a lifetime searching for memorable moments in Arizona. From the natural beauty of sunrises and sunsets framing cacti in their spectacular environment, to mountainous topography and old western towns, I am truly blessed to have this experience available to me. My journey through Arizona is something I look forward to sharing through the many photos yet to be taken.
